Project Description

Day trip from Rome to Siena and San Gimignano wine tasting

On the way from Rome to Siena, you will be fascinated by the splendid landscapes of the Tuscan hills, with olive groves, vineyards, woods, high cypresses, sunflowers, and typical stone brick houses.

Your private guide will show you to the world-famous picturesque town of Siena. Your driver will bring you to the fascinating medieval San Gimignano with its peculiar towers, where you will taste one of the best wines you have ever drunk, the Chianti.

Siena guide tour

Red-bricked Siena is an attractive UNESCO World Heritage Site and an ancient, bustling University town.

It is most famous for the spectacular horse race, the “Palio.” It takes place in summer in the huge central square, Piazza del Campo. The major landmark is the 13th-century Cathedral, built on the site of the goddess Minerva’s sanctuary. You will enjoy strolling and shopping through the narrow cobblestone streets.

San Gimignano Wine Tasting

Looking like a miniature Manhattan, with its famous houses and medieval defense towers, San Gimignano has a particular allure.

Perched at the top of a hill and surrounded by a wall, the town maintains its medieval characteristics and overlooks a fertile land, the Chianti Region.

Your driver will bring you to a certified wine farm where you will appreciate the world-famous Italian wine. Grapes grow in this quiet land, between the Apennines (Central Italian Mountains) and the Tyrrhenian Sea.
