FAQ’s

Why should I book an organized tour with a professional guide?

Dig a hole anywhere in Rome and find remnants of the Roman Empire. Look around where, even a bench at a bus stop or the support of a laundry line tell you something about it. Only a scheduled and well organized tour will allow to catch Roman glorious past… and only expert guides could answer your questions and tell you anecdotes, legends and myths collected in two and a half thousands of years of civilization. The past will live with their words.

Will your tour be appropriate for my child?

Every child is different and it is a matter of choosing the right tour, but remember that group tours move on a standard pace. We suggest a private tour for children under 8, more comfortable, that allows you to stop whenever you need. If you have an Infant, strap your baby on your chest or back; a stroller to open and close all the time will be tiring for you. But remember that children are welcome and will enjoy their experience.

All our tours have a reservation to skip the lines, or take place in hours when lines don’t occur. However, you should be aware that, no one is permitted to skip security checks and metal detectors at museum entrances and it is possible thatsometimes small unavoidable lines will form for such checks. At the Colosseum, when there are children, the guide must show at the cash desk she/he is with the children, to attest the reason of the reduction. The only chance to avoid this line is to pay for regular tickets. This happens only at the Colosseum; no restrictions for the other sites.

Is there a dress code?

Any Church, Synagogue and place of worship in Rome require both knees and shoulders to be covered, no matter how hot the weather is. In the Synagogue men are required to wear a hat, but if they do not have one, a “kippah” (typical cap) will be lent. No big backpacks, big umbrellas, and big shopping bags are allowed in the Vatican, nor in the Borghese Gallery. Your tour guide cannot be responsible for clients that are not dressed appropriately. We strongly recommend wearing comfortable shoes on all tours because they may involve a good amount of walking.
