Milan Cathedral is situated in Lombardy, Italy and is dedicated to St Mary of the Nativity. The Cathedral is an authentic Gothic building in Italy, adorned with thousands of sculptures. The interior is illuminated by large coloured Windows and 52 columns supporting the roof. Here it is possible to admire pinnacles and statues up close, and to enjoy the view extending as far as the Alps! Galleria Vittorio Emanuele is Italy’s oldest shopping mall and was named after the first King of the Kingdom of Italy. The structure of the building is made up of two glass-vaulted arcades intersecting in an octagon. The building covers the street connecting Piazza del Duomo to Piazza della Scala. The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele is an extremely pleasant and elegant Gallery, with refined shops, restaurants and cafes.
If you prefer, instead of going to the Sforza Castle Museum, you may go shopping in Via Monte Napoleone, renowned for design shops.
Scala Opera House in Milan holds shows from some of Italy’s greatest operatic artists, and singers from around the world and is classed as one of the leading opera and ballet theatres in the world. The Scala Opera House has been the scenery of the premières of Verdi, Donizetti, Puccini and many others. Your tour escort will bring you to the impressive Sforza Castle, with Michelangelo’s last sculpture, and works by Da Vinci, Lippi, Mantegna and others. It can be found in the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. This enormous and complex 15th century mural captures the emotional moment in which Jesus announces that one of his 12 disciples will betray him.
